LOS ANGELES — “Now that the secret is out. I just cannot believe it took everyone this long to figure it out,” said Jeremy Renner who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “All evidence pointed to me being Indigenous. The bow and arrow, the spirit-animal name, and being under house arrest for Infinity War. They were all dead giveaways! It feels good to finally admit my true identity for the next film.”
Sources confirmed that Clint Barton (Hawkeye) will be wearing a traditional braid and feathers while embracing a more warrior-like presence for Avengers 4. Marvel admits that Black Panther gave black people their “moment”, and Hawkeye revealing his Indigenous ancestry will give Indigenous people their “moment”.
“This was the logical next step,” said Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige. “We have been lacking in the diversity department for years. We have been appropriating elements from Indigenous culture without even knowing it. So this will finally fix some things. Okay?”
